In addition to duties brought forth under the previous contract, responsible for design and implementation of Primavera (P6) release 8.3 upgrade on both the unclassified and classified scheduling system at Y-12. Maintain configuration of over 140 P6 users including transition to the new contract WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) for the site management team. Responsible for the review and compliance of the Project Controls SQA (Software Quality Assurance). SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Knowledge Relay software for Flash Gantt, WIA (What If Analyzer) and Flash Maps.  This software interfaces with P6, Excel Adobe Flash and Access to support site master plans and management summary schedules.

Lead Scheduler.  Provided guidance in development of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for site.  Responsible for issuing monthly invoices from the resource loaded IMS.  Incorporated all Bechtel modification and additional work scope into 22K activity IMS, to reflect overall BNI contract values of the project.  Supervised two schedulers in development and issuance of weekly updated electronic version of IMS to BNI management and client.  Prepared executive summary, critical path and variance analysis reports for management.  Prepared and maintained systemization interface schedule between Bechtel, turnover contractor and government.

Sr. Project Controls Engineer.  While on assignment at Brookhaven National Labs (BNL), instrumental in development of new WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).  Supervised conversion of Timeline scheduling software to Primavera scheduling software.  Prepared new resource loaded Primavera Lifecycle Baseline Schedule for Environmental Restoration Division (ERD). Set up new reports and new dictionaries in Primavera, as required. Provided training to the ERD group.  

 

November 1993 toBechtel National, Inc., FUSRAP Project, Oak Ridge, TN Office

Site Project Controls Supervisor. Responsibilities at Maywood, NJ site

Included development, maintenance and updating of site resource loaded

Primavera remedial action schedules.  Prepared detailed cost estimates in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) for client negotiations and associated Delivery Order costs. Duties also included meetings with client pertaining to scope of work and project costs. Issued weekly and monthly reports for management on both cost and schedule analysis, incorporating a new access based trend system.

 

Program Planning Supervisor.  Provided supervision and technical guidance of

all FUSRAP program plans, construction scheduling and team planners concerning program schedule requirements. Responsible for program level planning and scheduling, milestones and input to DOE planning documents. Supervised and coordinated preparation and maintenance of lifecycle schedules. Additional responsibilities included maintaining and evaluation of new software for project scheduling, including technical guidance for Primavera Project Planner (P3). Reviewed overall FUSRAP schedule and Schedule Change Notice process for consistency within the teams. 

 

February 1992 to Bechtel Corporation, Tennessee Eastman Project, Kingsport, TN

Lead Planner.  Prepared weekly and monthly status reports for ProjectManagement.  Developed 1993 coal fired boiler outage interface schedule. 

Analyzed, monitored and developed manpower, percent complete, and resource graphs for management review.  Verified construction was compliant with overall project schedule.

 

Project Controls Supervisor/Small Capital Projects.  Responsibilities Included review of all cost and schedule data for Power and Services Division of Becon (Bechtel Construction).  Prepared schedules using Prestige and Primavera software.  Reviewed overall costs associated with these projects.  Projects included Waste Water Treatment Upgrade, Electrical Substation Upgrade and new Fire Water Tank System.
